The Mabuhay Philippines Toronto Summer Festival is the largest celebration of Philippine heritage and culture in Canada. The annual event has become the highlight of the community’s social calendar, featuring almost 200 vendors, singers, dancers, Philippine cuisine providers, art exhibits, raffles and more.
The Festival is a unique event in the Filipino-Canadian community. It is the only gathering that involves various Filipino-Canadian associations and groups that represent different regions, educational institutions and cultural aspects of the Philippines. It provides a platform for Filipinos to showcase their individual and collective talents in order to inform and raise awareness of the culture and for Filipino businesses to increase awareness of their marketability through a trade show.
The Philippines Independence Day Council has pledged a portion of the proceeds from the festival to the building a village in Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte.
