Why Exhibit ?

Big Market Less Competition – Kenya offers you both
Kenya is fast emerging as East Africa 's distribution hub and the market is growing with the economy. Requirements for Consumer, Food, Industrial & Building Products, Equipments, Machinery, Technical support and services are well in demand.

This is the only one annual opportunity to explore the vast and most talked about 37 million consumer market. The Kenya market is fast escalating along with the economy and has already gained recognition as the most potential market in the vast 380 million consumer market of East Africa .

The response at previous events has been overwhelming & we can confidently predict success for most of the participants at the upcoming exhibition. Several International firms are now targeting Kenya as the hub of East Africa as apart from offering international standard facilities in terms of infrastructure and communication, it also offers a very friendly and safe atmosphere.

Moreover, Kenya is also having one of the largest and busiest ports in the East African region also catering to neighboring countries such as Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Somalia.

  • Sweeping economic reforms in many East African countries have turned the world's attention towards the region. Kenya especially has enjoyed healthy economic policies for past one decade.

  • Economic & Financial conditions in Kenya has become more conducive to business development.

  • Positive moves and policies for liberal importation adopted by the Kenya government have played a significant role in promoting Kenya as a viable business partner in the global market.

  • Foreign Exchange rates have been stable.

  • Well Organized International banking networks throughout the country

  • Import duties on several commodities have been totally removed, especially on Food, Computers & Peripherals, Capital Goods, Industrial Machinery and Equipment.

  • Kenya is a Major re-exporter/distributor to East Africa's Land Locked Countries.

  • In the last few years the economic growth has picked up to 10% specially owing to the country's highly increasing Gold, Tea-Coffee, Minerals and other mining industries.

Chinese version - 中文網頁

In China, puzzles are called yizhi youxi (intelligence games), and for many generations they have challenged the minds of young and old and tested the ingenuity of rich and poor alike. Along with its history of art, culture and science, China also has a rich tradition of puzzles and a fascination with puzzling objects. Besides, many traditional Chinese puzzles are artistic creations that reflect classical art form and display extraordinary craftmanship.

Chinese Puzzles: Games for the Hands and Mind is an exhibition of antique Chinese puzzles from the Yi Zhi Tang Collection and will include traditional puzzles, such as tangrams, nine linked rings, and sliding block puzzles. But it will also have examples of puzzling objects, visual puzzles, and cleverly designed practical objects, such as puzzle rings and multi-step padlocks.

Chinese Puzzles will be the first exhibit in the U.S. devoted exclusively to the subject of Chinese puzzles. Bay area residents Wei Zhang and Peter Rasmussen created the Yi Zhi Tang Collection after spending twelve years crisscrossing China and exploring Western antique markets to collect these rapidly disappearing handcrafted objects.

An important part of the Chinese Puzzles exhibition will be its hands-on component. While the antique puzzles on display will please the eye, visitors will also have a chance to challenge their hands and minds by playing with and solving an assortment of newly made Chinese puzzles.

Chinese Puzzles is presented by Chinese Culture Center’s Modern Classics Project.

The Canton Fair: an exclusive presentation organized in Geneva

it is one of the most attended exhibition of the world and also enjoys highest priority in the eyes of exhibitors and business class as well.

The

The Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Economic & Commercial Councillor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland, SinOptic, OSEC Business Network Switzerland, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is organizing an exclusive presentation for Switzerland on the theme "The Canton Fair: China import and Export Fair".

THE CANTON FAIR

China Import and Export Fair (also known as “Canton Fair”) is the largest exhibition in China and second in the world featuring over 15,000 exhibitors and a total exhibition area of 635,000 m2. It is held twice annually. Since 2007, an International Pavilion has been set up for the first time, inviting overseas enterprises to explore the Chinese market. Each time, it attracts around 200’000 visitors from over 212 countries. It is an ideal opportunity for Swiss business men to identify potential suppliers from China, source products, survey competitors and eventually find promising partners, or to export their products to China.

THE SPEAKERS

Mr. XU Bing
Born in Jiangsu Province in 1965, Mr XU received MBA from University of International Business & Economics. He was Deputy Section Chief of Import & Export Department, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Corporation of People’s Republic of China (MOFTEC); Division Director of the General Office of MOFTEC; Secretary to Minister of MOFTEC and Associate Director and Assistant General Manager of Ng Fung Hong Co., Ltd, China Resources (Holdings) Co. Ltd. From May 2002, he is the Vice Secretary General of Chinese Export Commodities Fair, Vice Chairman of China Foreign Trade Centre and Deputy General Manager of China Foreign Trade Centre.

Mr. Thierry GALLADE
Born in Switzerland in 1970, for the last 5 years, Mr. Thierry Gallade has been in charge of establishing partnership with Chinese producers and acted as purchase and sales manager for an import-export Swiss company. He has traveled many times to China to visit new potential partners (plants), conclude partnerships, negotiate quantities, prices and services with active partners and attend to fairs/exhibitions. After years of various experiences with Chinese interlocutors, his humble conclusion, in regards of cultural differences and thoughts, is that sensitivity, consideration and respect are a must. His presentation will simply try to help you to gain some time by pointing out some useful pre-considerations when you tend to select and conclude a partnership with a Chinese supplier.
